Craft Worm Castings

Craft Worm Castings can be used to topdress, make worm castings teas or custom soil blends, the uses are endless. Great for all plants, including succulents and cacti

1 pound of Craft Worm Castings covers 2 square feet about 1/4" deep or approximately 8-10 houseplants.

Topdressing: add a thin 1/4" layer and gently scratch into topsoil in. Water in and repeat every 30 days. Use more frequently on high demand crops like tomatoes.

Custom Soil Mixes: blend 1 part Craft Worm Castings with 3 parts potting mix, recycled soil or native soil.

Can also be steeped in water to create a nutrient rich, microbial tea for foliar applications

Worm Casting Tea (4 gallons):

You will need a bucket, water, castings and a food source. For a fungal rich tea, food source can be fish hydrolysate or soluble kelp powder but should not be molasses or other simple sugars as these may grow the wrong types of bacteria.

1) Prepare the water. Chlorine is bad for microbes. If using tap water, fill your bucket and let it sit uncovered for 24-48 hours, allowing chlorine to evaporate.

2) Add food. 1/4 cup fish hydrolysate or 1 tsp kelp powder. Stir and let dissolve for a few minutes. Do not add castings before adding food.

3) Add 4-6 cups (1lb -1.5lbs) of Craft Worm Castings and stir periodically over 24-36 hours. Temperature is important. 60-75F degrees is ideal. Brew for longer if temps are much cooler. Keep out of sunlight.

4) Dilute to desired strength and apply. Typically between 1:4 up to 1:10. Water all plants as usual with diluted solution. Use entire solution within 48 hours stirring periodically to keep oxygenated.

Pure organic worm castings.

autumn leaves, wood chip humus, fruits, veggies, crab shell, kelp meal, oyster shell, bone meal, azomite, biochar, gypsum, egg shell, coffee grounds, humic acids, rock phosphate, greensand

Store at room temp or cooler. Keep moist by closing bag immediately after use.

If storing for long periods, poke a small breathing hole near top of package for airflow. If product starts to dry out, lightly mist with water.

Plants thrive in jungles and worm castings are the best way to simulate jungle soil. Worm castings are a fancier way to say worm poop.
